NJOS meets the second Thursday of every month at the Hanover Manor in East Hanover, New Jersey, USA.  Meetings start with a social hour followed by dinner and a speaker or special event.

The society hosts a plant table where members are encouraged to bring plants for judging and discussion.

Judging catagories include Greenhouse, Lights, Windowsill, Minature, Fragrance & Novice Growers.  Members vote on first and second place in each category as well as Best of Show.  Plants are discussed by one or more of our members (many times discussion is led by an AOS judge) and often our speaker of the evening joins in the discussion.

Social Hour starts at 6:00pm with dinner at 7:00pm. The price for dinner is $12.00. The meeting starts at 8:00pm and the plant table discussion usually begins at about 9:00pm. If you don’t want to join us for dinner please feel free to come for coffee and the meeting.
