The
North Jersey Orchid Society
is dedicated
to the appreciation and conservation of orchids and
to fostering the art of orchid growing.
Major
society events include monthly meetings, two orchid auctions a
year, an annual show, a Holiday party and special outings and
events organized by our members.
Yearly
dues are $30. Currently we have about 100 members. We publish a monthly
newsletter and maintain an orchid literature lending library at
our meeting site. We welcome members and member-vendors to bring
plants to our sale table during the monthly meeting.

"The Good, the Weird, and the Ugly"
An informative talk by
Elena Gallard
Elena is the
President of the Greater New York
Orchid Society, and past-president
and newsletter editor of the
Manhattan Orchid Society. She
teaches orchid-growing classes at
the New York Botanical Garden. Elena
grows a collection of mostly species
and funky hybrid orchids under
lights in her Manhattan apartment.
